HCG Injections vs. Drops

When Dr. A.T.W. Simeons first discovered and designed the process of using HCG for weight loss over 50 years ago, he used injections of the hormone to treat his patients. Since that time, others have attempted to recreate the protocol with small changes and tweaks, some being more successful than others.

One of the many changes that have taken place is the creation of sublingual HCG drops that can be used in place of injections. We offer both HCG injections and sublingual treatments at transformyou and are often asked what the difference is between the two. While both treatments have proven to be successful in helping our patients lose weight and naturally reshape their bodies, there are definitely some pros and cons to consider.

HCG Injections

Because it was the original method offered by Dr. Simeons, HCG injections are considered by many to be the most authentic treatment of HCG. Injections are highly effective and are typically the standard method of delivering HCG to the body. The advantage of using an HCG injection instead of drops is that the treatment goes directly to your bloodstream and only has to be administered once a day. Some studies suggest that our bodies more easily accept HCG when injected.

Other methods are available, such as sublingual HCG drops, but injections are much less expensive.

Cons of Injections

One of the most significant drawbacks of HCG injections is that it requires the use of needles. Some people just don’t like the idea of injections and would prefer to avoid them if possible.

HCG Drops

HCG sublingual drops may be the better choice for patients who do not want to give themselves HCG injections. Drops are placed under the tongue and then held for 30 seconds before swallowing. They have shown to be just as effective for some people as injections, without the pain and inconvenience of needles.

Cons of Drops

A patient will need to take the drops up to three times a day instead of the one-a-day injection. Drops tend to be more expensive than injections, which is something else to keep in mind.

Conclusion

So, what's the difference between HCG drops and injections? Not a whole lot. Both have about the same effectiveness. Injections are required less often than drops, and they might cost a bit less. Drops are a good option for those who don't want to use needles or be injected, but you'll need to use them more often and pay a bit more.

Both HCG injections and drops require the same safety measures up front, including a thorough physical examination to be sure the patient is ready for the process. The same low-calorie diet is required no matter which method you choose.
